CS First provides numerous resources to support teachers.
These include: lesson plans and solution sheets for all activities,
CS First kits, professional development, and more!
Once you create a CS First class, the teacher dashboard is a central hub to view profile
information, current and past classes, class codes, student progress trackers for each
class, and more!
First, let’s take a look at the materials tab, available in every CS First class.
This is your one-stop-shop for theme specific videos, lesson plans, solution sheets and more!
Solution sheets provide example solutions with illustrations for every activity.
They can be used as a reference guide for teachers to follow along with the concepts
students are learning.
CS First kit materials are also available within this tab.
These materials can be downloaded or shipped for free during the class setup process.
Every kit provides enough materials for up to 30 students.
Please account for a week of shipping time.
Next, let’s take a look at the student stats tab, also available in every CS First class.
Here teachers have a birds eye view of their students' accounts as well as the ability
to monitor their progress through the activities.
A star illustrates that students have watched all the videos in a particular activity.
A check mark shows that students have watched at least one video for this particular activity.
Teachers can also access student projects and view them on Scratch.
Student survey responses are available for teachers to gain insight into how their students
are feeling about programming and where they are struggling or succeeding.
In addition to curriculum materials and class insights, CS First also provides teachers
with a Help Center and Help Community.
The Help Center has answers to frequently asked questions by other teachers like you!
The Help Community connects you with other CS First teachers around the world
and the CS First team.
