In this video, you’ll create a program in which a character describes five things aboutyour friendship.
If you haven’t already found someone to create your project for, get your guru’sattention, and ask about working with another student.
Each friend should create their own project for this activity.
To start, click on the "5 Things About Us Starter Project" link next to this video.
This will open Scratch in a new tab in your browser.
Then click the "Remix" button in the upper right corner.
Sign in to Scratch using the sign-in information from your CS First passport.
Next, choose an android to represent you.
Click the costumes tab, and select an android.
Then, program this android to describe something about you and your friend.
Click the scripts tab, then the looks menu, and drag out a "say for two seconds” block.
Click the block to test it.
Type in this block, "My friend and I have 5 things in common..."
Next, add another "say for 2 seconds" block and type the first description of your friendship.
You might want to talk about: How you met,Common interests and hobbies, like sports, television, music,or what makes this person a good friend.
Click this block to run it!
The android sprite talks about your friendship.
Next, continue to describe your friendship with as many “say” blocks as you like!
Share what you’re writing with your friend as you create, or wait until it’s done toreveal it.
It’s up to you!
Once you have a list of "say for 2 seconds" blocks describing your friendship, add a “whenflag clicked block” from the events menu to run this code stack when the flag is clicked.
Click the flag to test.

Click remix, and sign in using the information from your passport.
