Welcome to the last day of CS First! We at CS First hope you've had a great time in the club and gotten a taste of all the things you can build using Computer Science and Scratch.

Today, you're going to have a lot of freedom to build any project that you want and ask your gurus for help to learn how to do anything you didn't do in the club. But first, build a thank you message for the teacher who has hosted this club for you and for the gurus in your classroom who have given you so much help. You can find the names of your gurus on the page with this video in case you have forgotten.

Your gurus and your teacher are volunteering to host this club for you and sometimes they need to leave work early to be here with you or work around their college schedule to spend time with you, so make sure you give them a big shout out in your project and in person to let them know their time was well spent! You should include in your project all of the following: A thank you to your teacher who is hosting the club A shout out to your gurus who have helped you in this club What did you think of the club?

What is one thing you learned about computer science or yourself during the club?

You can make the project as simple or complicated as you want and feel free to ask for help!

In this example, when the green flag is clicked, Pico starts thanking teachers. A message about what I learned glides to the top of the screen, and CS FIrst is fun glides and changes colors.

In this project, Cassey thanks my teachers while dancing and playing a hip hop sound.

CS First taught me computer science slowly increases its size, and the monkey says “I learned this with computer science” When you finish building the thank you project, you can build something totally new, you can return to work on one of your projects from a previous day, or you can even go the CS First site and the Create tab and check out the instructions from a different CS First club. If you want more ideas for your thank you project, you can click to the next page and see a list of optional add ons that you can do. In the closing screencast for today, you'll have instructions for how you can share your thank you project right on your gurus profile page on CS First so that your guru, and the world, can see your project!

Now it's your turn. Log in to scratch, name your project "CS First Thanks", and create something that has: A thank you to your teacher who is hosting the club A shout out to your gurus who have helped you in this club What did you think of the club?

What is one thing you learned about computer science or yourself during the club?

And don't forget to add some music and sound.
