Be a designer and programmer – bring the Google logo to life using code.
In this add-on, you will add a scrapbook page in which a user can write a message about your Time Lapse project.
To complete this add-on, reuse code from your Day 3 Depict and Deduce project.
If you did not do the Day 3 project, try out some of the other add-ons first.
If you have extra time and would still like to add a scrapbook page to your project, watch the day 3 videos to learn how to program a pencil to draw in your program.
To start, add a blank backdrop.
Click "paint new backdrop" under the stage, and name the backdrop something like "Scrapbook page."
To allow the user to write on the page, add the pencil from the Depict and Deduce project.
Click save, then click the "My Stuff" folder.
Open your Depict and Deduce project.
Click the triangle at the bottom of the scripts area to open your backpack.
The backpack is attached to your username, so as long as you’re signed in, anything that you put in it can be used in your other projects.
Then, click the pencil sprite and drag it to the backpack.
When you release the sprite, you should see the pencil sprite in the backpack.
If not, click and drag it over to the backpack again.
To use the pencil sprite in your Time Lapse project, click the "My Stuff" folder, and open the project.
Click the backpack to view its contents.
Click and drag the pencil sprite to the sprites area.
Now, the pencil sprite and all of its code are in your project.
Click the scripts tab to see the pencil sprite code.
Now, to write something with the pencil, click the flag, press the mouse button and move the mouse around.
That's pretty snazzy.
Now it's your turn Open your Depict and Deduce project and add the pencil sprite to your backpack.
Then, open your Time Lapse project and drag the pencil sprite from the backpack into the sprites area.
