In today’s project, you used two new computer science concepts: randomness and loops.
Loops are an absolutely essential part of computer science and programming. They areused in everything from medicine to video games.
Without loops, artists and DJs wouldn’t be able to create electronic music. Take amoment to watch this video of a DJ playing a song. You’ll notice that many sounds areplayed in a loop and layered on top of each other. See if you can spot all the loops the DJ uses in this song.
The technology that the DJ uses was made with computer science. A little knowledge abouthow computers are programmed helps DJs create new music. DJs and artists use loops all thetime to create instrument tracks and drumbeats for the songs you love.
Next club, you’ll create a story with a specific premise.
