In this add-on,
you'll add a prop to your story.
Props can make a story more fun and interesting.
To start, select the prop sprite in the Costumes tab.
Check out the different costumes.
Click to choose one that fits your story.
Next, make the prop appear when it's mentioned in the story.
Click the scripts tab.
The starter project contains code for the prop that says
when the flag is clicked, hide.
Program the sprite to show after a set period of time.
From Control, add a wait block under the hide block.
From Looks, add a show block
to the bottom of the code stack.
Click the flag to test.
The prop sprite hides, waits one second, then shows.
Change the value in the wait block to make the prop hide
until the sprite mentions the prop.
Next, program the sprite
to glide on Stage when it shows.
Click the prop sprite on the Stage,
and drag it to where it will start.
Select the Motion menu and add a Go to X: () Y: () block
under the when flag clicked block.
The X and Y values in the block
reflect the sprite's current position on the Stage.
To make the sprite glide after waiting,
drag the sprite to where it will glide on the Stage,
and add a glide block under the show block.
The values in the glide block update in the block's palette
to reflect the sprite's new position.
Awesome, the sprite hides, waits a few seconds,
then shows and glides on Stage.
Now it's your turn!
Choose a costume in the props sprite.
Program the sprite to wait, then show.
Drag the sprite to where it will start,
and add a Go to X: () Y: () block.
And finally, drag the sprite to where it will glide
and add a glide block.
