Animate your project by moving sprites, characters or objects around the stage. This focuses
others’ attention, emphasizes a point...or brings your interests to life.
Select a sprite that is already in your program, or add a new sprite.
Make your sprite move around the stage using glide blocks.
Glide blocks glide a sprite around the stage, creating an animated movement.
Glide blocks have a timer value, that makes your sprite move faster with small values…
and slower with large values.
Once the movement works the way you want, set your sprite’s position at the beginning
of the program. Use a “go to” block to make your sprite start at that exact location
when the flag is clicked.
Add a when this sprite clicked block from the Events menu. Test your program.
If you’re feeling adventurous, program your sprite to move more than once using a “repeat”
loop. Add this around the blocks you want to repeat.
You may find it challenging getting your sprite to go exactly where you want it. Test your code
often to make sure your program and your characters work the way you want.
Make your character talk about the topic you’ve chosen.
Change the animation scenery by adding more backdrops.
Choose or record sounds to accompany your project.
Add or draw more characters who support your cause.
Make your primary or secondary characters move to emphasize points in your story.
Ask the audience a question and make something happen based on the response.
Create a title for your passion project so the audience can know what it’s about.
Animate your characters by making them change costumes.
Make your own beat and sounds.
