arrow_back Crash Sound

In this add-on, you will add a sound that plays if the racer crashes with an obstacle.

This video will show you which block to use to play a sound. Then, you’ll use what you’ve learned so far to figure out where to put it in your program.

Select the racer sprite, then open the “sounds” tab. Click the “Choose sound from library” button that looks like a megaphone. Click the play buttons next to a sound to hear it.

When you find one you like, click on it, then click “OK.” This example will use the sound “scream-female,” but you can use any sound you like.

Then, go back to the scripts tab, and open the “sound” menu. Drag out the “play sound until done” block, and check that the sound you just added is selected in the dropdown menu.

It’s up to you to figure out where to place this block to make the sound play if the racer touches an obstacle. Here’s the gameplan!
